Hair Salons by Yar Cuts is a FAMILY of stylists who have created a safe, positive space to support each other, create, and provide excellent service. Our leaders & teams are encouraged to have FUN & ENJOY reaching GOALS together, building our business, and always putting the guests first. Our CULTURE begins and ends with our leaders & stylists upholding a team atmosphere and sub staining this culture in our salons everyday!

Our Story

Yar cuts was created in 2017 when Scott Sullivan, with the support of his incredible wife Katie and five beautiful children, moved to St Petersburg, FL and became a Regis Franchisee. Today our family has grown into a multi-brand company with 38 SmartStyle and Supercut salons.

Previously, Scott worked around the world as a finance executive with Fortune 500 companies, including Whirlpool and Bridgestone and is a licensed CPA and MBA from the University of Notre Dame. Scott’s extensive business experience and passion for positive environments is a perfect fit for the salon industry. Watching each customer feeling beautiful and our stylist’s sheer pleasure of creating that beauty warms Scott’s heart. Another passion is the development of people. Scott feels great satisfaction from watching the development of our leaders. Currently, 30 stylists in leadership positions have been internally promoted into their roles, with some stylists receiving multiple promotions.

Scott is also the co-founder and Treasurer of the Salon Owners Franchisee Association (SOFA), which represents over 1,000 Regis salons. This position has allowed Scott to better partner with Regis management to improve the salon business.
